Christmas party entertainment in Dubai: company parties, villa dinners and the acts that fit

December in Dubai is one long party season: company Christmas parties from the first week of the month, villa dinners for expat families around the 25th, hotel brunches and terrace nights every weekend, and New Year’s Eve at the end. The calendar is short and the good acts go early. Company Christmas parties

Most December bookings are staff parties and client dinners for 40 to 300 people in a hotel ballroom, a beach club, a restaurant terrace or a rented villa. A corporate evening almost always has the same shape: one or two acts at the start, then the band or the DJ. That is the standard shape; for a themed evening or a brand launch we propose a bespoke concept around it.

How a corporate Christmas party usually runs:

1. Arrival and cocktails. One or two soft acts: a violinist, a saxophonist or a flautist over backing tracks, a jazz duo, or a close-up magician working the groups. Music at conversation level while people arrive and the speeches are prepared.
2. Dinner. Background music from the same act, or a singer with guitar; awards and speeches between courses on a wireless microphone.
3. After dinner, or during it if the concept is a party. The party band or the DJ with live sax takes over, and the dance floor opens. A dancers’ number, an LED robot or a stage magician can be placed at the reveal, depending on the concept.

The formats that work

• Party band. A full live band with singer, guitar, keys, bass and drums, two sets of the songs everyone dances to, then the DJ. The safe choice for a mixed team of twenty nationalities.
• Jazz trio or quartet with singer. For a seated dinner, an awards evening or a smaller senior team: swing, soul and the Christmas standards at conversation level.
• DJ with live saxophone. The most requested corporate format: music from arrival to the last dance, sax over the set at the key moments, wireless microphone for the CEO’s speech.
• Carol singers and acoustic sets. A vocal quartet or a singer with guitar for the welcome hour, a hotel lobby or a family day.
• Shows. A dancers’ opening number, an LED robot show or a stage magician between courses; a close-up magician working the tables during cocktails.
• Arabic and international. Oud and singer, a Latin or Spanish act, a Bollywood set: for teams that want their own culture on stage, or a mixed programme.

Christmas at your villa

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners at home, with family and friends flying in, are where a small live act makes the evening: a Spanish guitarist or a jazz duo through dinner, carol singers at the door, a magician for the children and a DJ if the night turns into a party. Dates and booking

• Book by 15 November for a party band or a specific act on a Thursday or Friday in December; DJs and solo performers can often be confirmed later.
• Peak dates: the Thursdays and Fridays of 4 to 19 December for companies; 24 and 25 December for villas; 31 December for everyone.
• Deposit: 50% confirms the date and the artists, balance before the event; we invoice companies against a purchase order.
• Backup: every performer has a confirmed substitute in December.

Practical notes

• Venue sound. Hotels usually provide the PA; we bring our own for villas, beach clubs and terraces, with an operator either way.
• Run of show. Our stage manager builds the timeline with your HR or events team: speeches, awards, dinner, band, DJ.
• Alcohol-free and family formats. All concepts work for a dry event or a family day; the magician and the carol singers are the children’s favourites.
